Advising a CEO through three high profile and negative issues, effectively minimising reputational damage and risk, by guiding both internal (staff) and external (media and stakeholder)

Working closely with a managing director of a SME through the relaunch of the business by facilitating strategic planning, market positioning, target audience identification and focus; re-energising the business by introducing plans and actions that were proactive, achievable and measurable;

Advising an international senior executive/board member in funds management/biotech, in relation to establishing a profile in Australia, this included facilitating business and media introductions;

Developing and facilitating business development training for senior management to more closely align their individual marketing efforts to the firm’s business plan;

Responsible for the management, staff, operations and financial results for 8 business units.

Developed new revenue streams by consolidating two business units and cross-trained staff to accommodate increased opening hours to meet the needs of clients;

Developed and introduced new professional processes, procedures and protocols and document templates now used across all business units in NSW and ACT

Produced editorial direction, wrote and edited content for the member publications (both hardcopy and online versions)

Developed the media strategy, protocols, media training and management of all media contact/interviews etc.

Head of Faculty Marketing

At a time when the marketing department of the Faculty had experienced rapid change and a high churn rate of managers, the Dean of the Faculty engaged me to reposition the marketing unit so that it was recognised as a valuable resource to the academic staff. I supported the faculty’s initiatives in terms of attracting and retaining top students, launched the Alumni program for the Faculty and designed executive programs featuring overseas experts in the professional fields of Economics and Business.

Introduced professional standards and procedures, wrote a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, developed media relations with business magazines, created a marketing procedures manual;

Wrote and produced materials including suite of brochures for each Masters program and teaching discipline;

Reviewed and repositioned advertising and media campaign to coincide with postgraduate information evenings; generated media releases to achieve higher brand awareness of the Faculty, its programs and its academics;

Introduced new scholarship procedure that provided a framework for both attracting and managing scholarships offered by the business community.

Consulting Role – Marketing

Collaborated with CEO in the development and implementation of marketing plan and assisted with implementation of member communication activities.

Introduced the association’s first Annual Report, including drafting the Chairman’s Report and managing the production and print process;

Designed and implemented successful corporate partnership program, raising significant funding for the Annual Conference.

Developed strong and mutually beneficial relationships with alliance partners.

Established clear lines of communication with all stakeholders and the media.
